An admission offer can require actions after acceptance and continued compliance with stated conditions. Build your checklist from your actual offer, admitted-student portal, and college instructions. A generic list cannot tell you which documents, academic expectations, or deadlines apply to your place.
These fields are temporary and are not saved to an account. Before leaving or reloading this page, use the copy button at the end and paste your completed worksheet into a document you can keep.
Gather the governing documents
Save the admission letter, any program-specific offer, scholarship terms, and the current portal instructions. Note where conditions appear and which office owns each question. If two instructions seem inconsistent, ask the institution to clarify rather than choosing the easier interpretation.
Separate three kinds of tasks: keeping the admission offer in good standing, accepting the place, and preparing to enroll. They may appear in one portal but carry different consequences. A housing application, for example, should not be assumed to complete your enrollment response.
Turn each instruction into a trackable row
| Requirement | Exact source | Owner | Deadline and time zone | Evidence of completion |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enrollment response | Offer or portal instruction | Student | Record the stated deadline | Confirmation saved |
| Required final academic records | College's document instructions | Student and school | Record separately | Receipt verified |
| Academic or program condition | Exact offer language | Student | As stated | Question resolved or requirement met |
| Scholarship continuation terms | Award notice | Student and family | As stated | Relevant confirmation |
| Other required enrollment step | Responsible office's instruction | Named person | As stated | Receipt or status update |
Remove rows that do not apply and add the exact requirements that do. These are categories to investigate, not a statement that every institution requires the same items.
Your offer-specific checklist
Use one line per requirement. Copy exact language when the wording matters.
Check changes before assuming they are harmless
If your courses, grades, graduation plans, or other reported circumstances change, read the institution's reporting instructions. Ask promptly when the offer does not explain what to do. Do not create your own universal rule about which grade or schedule change is acceptable.
For example, if a required senior course becomes unavailable, document what happened, discuss an alternative with your school, and contact the college as its instructions require. Waiting until the final transcript arrives can remove time to resolve the issue.
Use the academic-record check to identify which schools hold the records you need. A student who took outside courses may have more than one document source to coordinate.
Close the loop on receipt
Distinguish requesting a transcript from the college marking it received. Keep the request confirmation and allow the processing time stated by the institution before escalating. Assign a next check date so an incomplete status does not disappear from view.
End the checklist with unresolved questions and the office contacted, not a vague โall done.โ An IvyReady consultation can help organize the handoff from admission to enrollment; the college remains the authority on interpreting and satisfying its offer.
