Parent Application-Season Account and Document Launch Sheet

An ordered launch list for application season open: parent-owned household facts, FSA ID, payments, and school records, plus student-owned accounts and writing, with done or not-yet on every row.

Use this page when application season is opening and you need the launch order, not another explanation. Every row already has an owner. You mark Done or Not yet, then copy the list.

This is not the Common App parent household worksheet. That page collects Family-section facts. This page is the order in which accounts and documents get launched, and who owns each step.

Parent-owned logisticsStudent-owned accounts and writing
Household facts, parent Common App information, parent FSA ID, fee-pay method, school-records chase as the adult.Student Common App and UC logins, student FSA ID, teacher asks, activities text, essays.
You gather, create adult logins, pay or arrange a waiver, and calendar the school office.Your student creates student logins and writes the file. You do not take those accounts.

0 of 11 rows marked ยท 0 done

Mark Done or Not yet on every row before copy turns on. Owner is already assigned.

Launch week

Standing household roles stay on the parent-student responsibility map. A later mixed execution list is the college application checklist. Leftover summer logistics, if they are still open, belong on junior summer parent logistics.

Parent-owned logistics first

Finish these so your student is not blocked. Put Family-section answers on the household worksheet, then mark the gather row Done here.

1. Gather household facts for the Common App Family section

Owner: Parent

Collect the facts. Do not rebuild the field list here. Hand the completed list to your student.

Launch status

2. Parent Common App information ready to hand over

Owner: Parent

Education, occupation, and household facts the Family section will ask for. You do not take the student login.

Launch status

3. Create the parent FSA ID

Owner: Parent

This is the adult login used later for federal aid forms. This page does not tell you what the family can afford or how to file.

Launch status

4. Fee-pay method ready, or a waiver path through the school

Owner: Parent

Decide how the household will pay application fees. Do not record amounts on this sheet.

Launch status

5. Calendar the school-records chase

Owner: Parent

Transcript, counselor forms, and registrar timing. You may call the school office as the adult. You do not email colleges.

Launch status

Student-owned accounts and writing next

Your student keeps the logins and the sentences. If you are asked to read a draft, use the parent college essay feedback protocol. Role language stays on how parents can help without taking over.

6. Student Common App account created

Owner: Student

Your student creates and keeps this login.

Launch status

7. Student UC application account (if UC is on the list)

Owner: Student

Your student creates this login. Mark Not yet if UC is not in play.

Launch status

8. Student FSA ID (if the aid form needs it)

Owner: Student

Your student owns this login. You do not file from the student account.

Launch status

9. Teacher recommendation asks sent by your student

Owner: Student

You may remind once. You do not email the teachers.

Launch status

10. Activities text drafted by your student

Owner: Student

You may confirm dates and hours if asked. You do not rewrite the lines.

Launch status

11. Essay sequence started by your student

Owner: Student

Your student writes. Parent comments stay on the essay feedback protocol.

Launch status

Copy the launch list

Paste this into a shared note. Owner stays on every row so the household can see who creates what.

If a later checkpoint is what you need, not a launch order, use the junior-year on-track checklist while junior year is still open, or parent college application support if you want a hosted conversation about the year.
